A new call-in series for community development professionals

Lidia is a microcredit participant.  Last year she needed more money than what we lend so I asked Valery at ACCION to help her. She borrowed $8,000. for her business.  She makes items from the soda tabs and they were impressed at the fact that she has almost repaid the loan in less than a year and the fact that she is blind.  This year ACCION is having its 50th
anniversary and they help an international contest with all the borrowers. The local ACCION sent Lidia's biography and she won.  ACCION will have a gala in New York and Lidia will be featured at all their events   Because she came out of our microcredit program, the mini documentary will be made about La Maestra and how Lidia got to where she is now.
