La Maestra Micro Credit Program

Microcredit is the extension of very small loans (microloans) to those in poverty; it is designed to spur entrepreneurship.  La Maestra offers microcredit to individuals who lack collateral, steady employment, and a verifiable credit history and therefore cannot meet even the most minimal qualifications for traditional loan products. Through La Maestra Foundation, loans are made available starting at $250 all the way to $5000. The loans are structured in a way that is simple and easy for the participants to make weekly payments while helping them increase their savings.
